![]() Oh and I have added it as a required mod (even though it is not required) purely out of convenience and easy access for you guys to subscribe to. Test the sub-mod and tell me what you think? So far, only Italia has been finished as it is very hard to test these missions since no cheat exists that allows me to auto-complete them. This sub mod was created especially for the main mod and focuses on shortening the length of each default vanilla Ir missions tree. ![]() SF - Roman Invicta - Redone Missions Tree: )Ĥ) Added in the ability to access the debug_mode without having to type it into launch settings. So don't think I'm finished with this yet. PLEASE NOTE! Everything underneath here is now in the sub-mods RI - Buildings, RI - Missions Tree, RI - Traditions.Ģ) Added in several new building types - Victory Column and Triumphal Arch (both increase General's loyalty), Colosseum (Flavian Amphitheatre), Pantheon, Gladiatorial Amphitheatre, Scriptoria (Library), Scriptorium (Academy), Greek Agora (Replaces the Forum for everyone else except Rome, Indian Aqueduct System, Greek Inverted Siphon (exclusive to Hellenic and Levantine culture groups) and the Cesspit made exclusively for the barbarian tribes,ģ) Renamed forum to Forum Magnum (as it was historically called by the plebs of Rome) and made it exclusive to RomeĤ) Added in Carthaginian shipbuilding and Advanced shipbuilding for Rome's military traditions (was going to add this in as an event but meh,ĥ) Expanded UI to allow for more future buildings planned (many more planned).Ģ) Severely reduced Egypt to give both Rome and Cyrenaica a chance to complete their missions and to mitigate an OP Egypt very early on.ģ) Further removed more river crossings as my eventual goal with the navigable rivers is to create choke points, where strategically placed fortifications can actually do their job. All roads after all lead to Rome.ġ) Added in navigable rivers and adjusted adjacency.txt by removing crossings along western most sections of the Danube, This means that as Hannibal Barca or Ptolemy, you will still have the same opportunities as Rome, but along different routes. This mod will centre on Rome, giving Rome unique stuff as well as keeping it from becoming too OP to the rest. And I won the game, just like that.Welcome everyone to this new overhaul mod of mine titled "ROMA INVICTA". I decided to check if they were already interested in client state status. I threw in an offer of 1800 gold (a pittance, though it was all my gold and probably greater than my net income per turn at this point) and suddenly they said yes! The last settlement I needed was owned by, I think, Redones, at this point a two-city tribe, and with whom I was already at war. I figured there was likely no chance they'd be willing to accept client state status yet, but I decided to check anyway. I didn't have as many units as I'd have liked, but the nearby Carnutes cities looked weak and I decided to strike. How? Well, my offensive units were next to the Carnutes, who owned eight of the nine cities I needed. I had confidence I'd win in the end, but I was sure the computer was going to make sure it was as long and miserable as possible, and I wasn't sure I wanted to invest the effort. I still had nine settlements to go and it looked like it would be a long time before I could capture them, because my army was crippling my economy, nearly every province was poised to riot within the next few turns (I'm a TW:R2 newbie and didn't plan my cities properly), the Nervii could attack at any time and I didn't have much of an army by their border (plus I needed what I did have to stay garrisoned so they could keep the population in check). ![]()
